Einride Flipturn Acquisition Expands Its EV Charging Strategy
Swedish electric and autonomous trucking company Einride has agreed to acquire EV charging software startup Flipturn in an all-stock deal valued at $38 million. The transaction is expected to close in July 2026 and represents Einride’s first acquisition since becoming a publicly traded company. The Einride Flipturn acquisition gives the trucking company control of technology that manages and monitors EV charging infrastructure. That matters because scaling electric heavy-duty trucks involves more than putting battery-powered vehicles on the road. Fleets also need reliable charging systems, accurate energy data, and software that can coordinate vehicles, routes, chargers, solar power, and energy storage. The deal therefore adds a new layer to Einride’s business model. Instead of focusing primarily on trucks and fleet management, the company is moving toward a more integrated system in which charging operations become part of the service it provides to customers.
