The feature is initially available in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada, with a global rollout planned by the end of 2026. Meta says the alerts will not be triggered automatically by an AI system alone. Conversations flagged by its detection technology will be manually reviewed before an alert is sent to a parent.
