Ryan Beiermeister has joined Founders Fund as a partner, adding a former OpenAI product policy executive to the venture capital firm's investment team. Her new role comes months after her departure from OpenAI, where she spent roughly two years as vice president of product policy during the company's rapid expansion. Beiermeister is expected to focus on startups working in technically demanding and highly regulated areas, including AI infrastructure, agentic systems, defense, energy, climate, and biotech.
