Spotify is expanding its parent-managed accounts for children to users on its free tier for the first time. Families in the U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany and the Netherlands can now create a separate “Managed Account” for a child, giving parents more control over what their children listen to and which features they can access. The feature was previously available only to paid subscribers. Spotify launched Managed Accounts in 2024 as a shared account option designed to help parents manage their children’s listening experience without requiring them to use the more restrictive Spotify Kids app. Spotify Managed Accounts Are Now Available to Free Users Spotify announced the expansion on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, making parent-managed accounts available to families using the platform’s free tier in six markets.
